Couple things...

First and foremost, if I have to see another six flags commercial with that annoying song and that even more annoying old guy, I think I may puke.

Secondly, we went to the Teva Mountain Games in Vail yesterday- very cool. Got to see some Kayak Rodeo, bouldering, and some other competitions, as well as collecting a large bagfull of free stuff.

Friday and Saturday were very blah- it was raining like nuts, flash floods all over the place, and in grand Colorado news tradition... Everytime the weather isn't sunny and gorgeous, they will report on the news NONSTOP for a minimum of 37 minutes. No seriously, on Friday, they broke into Oprah several times, informing children home alone to seek shelter in a room without windows, because there were tornado warnings, also showing pics of the flash floods all over, the traffic jams, etc. Then the news started at 5pm, and went non-stop, and I mean without commercials and all, for AT LEAST 37 minutes (I changed the channel at that point!). People out here really freak out about 'bad' weather!

Man, for being all outdoorsy and shit, Coloradans are such wusses. Back in Chicago, we don't give no craps--we man up and stand in line outside the hot dog restaurant while there are torrential downpours and boiling black skies. No flash floods will stop us from eating our encased meats.

Right - we are devoted to eating the remnants of butchered cattle ground up and soaked in nitrates, no matter the weather. As long as you don't get ketchup on your hot dog.

Speaking of storms..it's been stormy in the SW suburbs of Chicago. I wonder what that's about? =0]

Hope your weather is nice there, it's nice and hot here, but the humidity is oppressing. Hey the sun's out! Time to go out in the Jeep!

Yeah, I really don't get the whole weather-news issue here.... I think you just get the extremes here= the peeps that are all outdoorsy and will suffer through any weather without a second thought, and then the other Colorado residents (which probably comprise 85% of the state) who have no life and nothing better to do than to freak about the weather and watch the news nonstop!
